Day 01 : Arrive Delhi (By : Flight)

Arrive at Delhi International Airport by Flight ---at ----hrs .

Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, our representative will meet you as you EXIT the ARRIVALS TERMINAL building after which you straight proceed to hotel for check-in. Delhi- India’s modern capital is also an ancient city tracing its origins in legend. It is dotted with hundreds of landmarks and offers more than a millennium of history in stone. From here various Hindu and Muslim dynasties including the Mughals ruled India. No fewer than 7 cities had stood on this site before the British rulers of India created here their dream capital designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens.

Day 02 : Delhi

After breakfast proceed for full day Delhi sightseeing. Drive past Red Fort and visit Raj Ghat. Visit New Delhi including Rashtrapati Bhavan, Shanti Vana, India Gate and the famous Qutub Minar. As the day ends, you return to your hotel for overnight stay.


Day 03 : Delhi - Lucknow - Sravasti ( BY: TRAIN & SURFACE )

Early morning transfer to Railway station to board train Shatabdi Express and travel from Delhi to Lucknow and Sravasti packed breakfast in Tarin, Arrival on Lucknow Railway station, you will be taken to Sravasti. you will have the chance to explore Jetavana and Saheth and Maheth. Post this you return to hotel at Sravasti and Over night at Hotel.


Day 04: Sravasti - Lumbini ( BY: SURFACE )

You can explore Sravasti along with Lumbini and Kapilvastu. You will drive total distance covered will be 225kms in almost 7 hours. Post breakfast you start for Lumbini and visit Kapilvastu on the way. You sign in at your hotel upon reaching Lumbini. Historically, Lumbini is the place where Gautama Buddha was born. As you explore this place, explore Maya Devi temple, constructed serenading Maya Devi, who is Gautama Buddha’s mother. This temple dates back to the 2nd century and has a pond nearby where Maya Devi herself used to take her bath. Today, the esteemed Japanese Buddhist Federations is taking initiatives to re-build this temple. Stop over at the famous Asoka Pillar dating back to 259 B.C, constructed by none other than Emperor Asoka, who happened to a devoted disciple of Lord Buddha. Whilst building this pillar the noble king had released the villagers of taxes. He further gave away hundred golden coins to the village people. A sudden lightning hit the pillar in 7thcentury and got broken in two halves. For several years this prominent historical site got vanished. It got shrouded with dense forest and finally in 1895 was rediscovered. Initiatives were taken to rearrange the site. The Asoka pillar too was rebuilt as this is an important power spot related to Buddhism and its roots. You come back to your hotel at Lumbini and stay overnight.


Day 05 : Lumbini - Kushinagar ( BY: SURFACE )

After breakfast transfer from Lumbini and arrive at Kushinagar. (Travel time is 6 hours and the distance covered is 180kms) Post your breakfast you exit from Lumbini and leave for Kushinagar, which is the sacred place where Lord Buddha took his Mahaparinirvana (crossing over from earth). The place houses many quaint temples and beautiful monasteries. The Rambhar Stupa, which is Buddha’s cremation spot, is worth visiting.

History states that Mahakashyapa was the one to set the funeral pyre on fire at MukutabandhaVihara. In the recent times, the stupa has been deduced only to a huge brick mound that is 15 meters high and houses a park within. Before detouring make it a point to stop at Mahaparinirvana Temple. Return back to Kushinagar and over night at hotel.


Day 06: Kushinagar - Vaishali - Patna ( BY: SURFACE )

Breakfast at hotel and Travel from Kushinagar Patna and Vaishali ( The travel time is 07 hrs - 235 kms). Post your breakfast you travel to Patna and on the way get down to explore Vaishali. Gautama Buddha used to visit Vaishali recurrently. It was in Kolhua he taught his last lesson. In order to celebrate this occasion, King Asoka created the legendary lion pillars in 3rd century B.C. After a century of Buddha’s Mahaparinirvana, Vaishali witnessed the hosting of the second grand Buddhist Council. In order to celebrate this occasion two stupas got constructed. Return back to hotel at Patna to stay overnight.


Day 07: Patna - Rajgir - Nalanda - Bodhgaya ( BY: SURFACE )

Breakfast and depart from Patna and travel to Rajgir, Nalanda and finally Bodh Gaya (200kms / 6 hours). After breakfast leave towards Rajgir and visit Nalanda on the way. Nalanda University is the world’s oldest University that got established back in 5th century. The nearby historic temples and monasteries with stunning Hindu and Buddhist carvings are a must watch. History lovers can visit Institute for research in Buddhism and Pali literature that still preserves some of the rate manuscripts. From Nalanda you head towards Rajgir. Historically, Rajgir back in history during Lord Budhha’s lifetime enjoyed the status of being the capital of the famous Magadh Kingdom that was under the reign of king Bimbisara.

The marble structure of Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a must visit that carried some of the finest images of Buddha, constructed by Nipponza Myohoji Japanese sect. after this, you are taken to Griddhakuta, which happens to be a unique rock extension taking the shape of a vulture’s beak. Perhaps, that’s why it is named so. History states, that Gautama Buddha during rainy season used to preach and meditate within these rocky caves. Another important site to visit is the Venuvana Vihar constructed by King Bimbisara honouring Gautama Buddha, for him to reside. Hop over to the Jivakameavan Gardens a place of eminent


Day 08: Bodhgaya

Full day sightseeing of Bodh Gaya a holy Buddhist pilgrimage hub. At Bodh Gaya Gautama Buddha was enlightened under the sacred Bodhi Tree. Visit the Mahabodhi Temple, constructed by Asoka in 3rd century B.C. After this move over to Sujata House, an eminent temple attributed to a tribeswoman from Uruvela, who gave food to Gautama Budhha when he was starving. Nearby are the shrine and the purlieu that create an aura of mysticism and spiritual glory. After this visit the Niranjana River and then return to hotel to overnight stay.


Day 09: Bodhgaya - Varanasi ( BY: SURFACE )

Leave Bodh Gaya and travel to Varanasi. (06hrs / 250 kms).

Varanasi, the 'eternal city', and Hinduism's most important city, located on the banks of the sacred River Ganges, has been the center of learning & civilization for over two thousand years.

In the evening you would be taken to the Ghats to see the illuminated Ganga Aarti ceremony – an experience of life. The Ganga Aarti is a spectacular sight. Hundreds throng to the ghats to participate in this ceremony. Offerings of lamps and flowers are made to the river immediately following this ceremony and it is a moving sight to watch hundreds of miniature lamps float along the river.

Day 10: Varanasi - Agra ( BY : TRAIN )

Early in the morning with glimpse of the sun as you experience a boat ride at the holy Ganges. You can also witness the traditional cremation Ghats and the ongoing rituals and other allied sacred practices. After breakfast visit of Sarnath, a profound seat of Buddhism. According to historical facts, Gautama Buddha gave his first lesson post enlightenment in 530 B.C in Sarnath.

In the evening you transfer to railway station for the train to Agra. The night is spent on an overnight journey on train.


Day 11: Agra

Full day sightseeing of Agra - In morning you reach Agra and check-in at your hotel. Post breakfast, start The Taj Mahal is everything that has been said about it and more. Taking 22 years and 20,000 men to build, the white marble was quarried 200 miles away and was transported to the site by a fleet of 1000 elephants. Built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan as an expression of his love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, in mid 17th century, the Taj Mahal is truly one of the wonders of the world. Though the Taj appears to be amazingly perfect from almost any angle, it is the close-up marble inlay work, which is really astounding. You will have ample time to view and be mesmerized by this outstanding piece of architecture (closed on Fridays).

Agra Fort, an outstanding example of Mughal architecture. Agra Fort - the seat and the stronghold of the Mughal Empire under successive generations. This was the seat of Mughal rule and administration and the present structure owes its origins to Akbar who erected the walls and gates and the first buildings on the eastern banks of Yamuna River. Shah Jehan added the impressive quarters and the mosque while Aurangzeb added the outer ramparts. Visit its Hall of Public Audience and its Royal Pavilions.


Day 12: Agra - Fatehpur Sikhri - Jaipur

Morning full day sightseeing for Jaipur and explore Fatehpur Sikhri on the way. The total journey is of 6 hours/ 240 kms. The famous red sandstone city of Fatehpur Sikhri was established by King Akbar in 16th century as a capital palace. From here head to Buland Darwaza, that is considered as the biggest gateway globally. Post this you drive towards Jaipur, check-in at the hotel and spend the evening relaxing and staying over the night at Jaipur.


Day 13: Jaipur

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven just outside Jaipur to the ancient capital of Amber to see the fabulous Amber Fort. Maharaja Mansingh, Mughal Emperor Akbar’s most successful General, started the construction of Amber Fort in the 17th century. Before the City Palace was constructed in Jaipur, Amber was the seat of power. The fort is surrounded by fortified battlements and overlooks the Moat Lake. Ruins and remains are spread over the Aravalli hills and sprawling crenulated walls lattice the surrounding area. Jeep ride will spare you the trouble of reaching up to the fortress. Once on top, stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Many of the rooms have delightful wall paintings, with precious stones and mirrors inlaid in the walls. Most fascinating, perhaps, is the Sheesh Mahal (hall of mirrors) where a single lamplight is reflected in the many mirrors, lighting up the room.

En-route to Amber you will stop and see the `Palace of Winds’, otherwise known as Hawa Mahal. It is really an elaborate facade behind which the ladies of the court used to watch the daily goings on in the street below. It is extremely intricate in its pink sandstone carving. The cool wind blows through its facade of windows and latticed screens through which the queens of the court once viewed the streets of the city. Continue for sightseeing tour of Jaipur city visit the city of Jaipur. Among the highlights to be seen while touring Jaipur include the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. The palace museum houses collections of rare manuscripts, armoury, costumes, carpets and miniature paintings. Walk to the adjacent Jantar Mantar or Astronomical Observatory made by the Maharaja of Jaipur, built in 1726 and is one of the five such astronomical wonders built by Sawai Jai Singh and makes accurate predictions even to this day. You will also have the opportunity to wander about the local markets. Return to your hotel after the sightseeing tour.

Day 14: Jaipur - Delhi

Leave Jaipur and travel to Delhi. (06hrs drive time)

On reaching Delhi, you head to International airport to take your final return flight.
